Catalpa Cabin is Ahhh-mazing!! We have had the best weekend. The owners thought of everything!! We caught fish in the creek right outside the door, took some of the best rides ever and ate some wonderful food in the diner next door.... so convienent. We loved it here and can't wait to come back and relax.

We just recently returned from staying at the cabin for five nights. The cabin was extremely clean, quaint and had all the comforts of home. We are atv enthusiasts and have ridden many trails. The trails in this area are beautiful. We rode the trails at the cabin and they were great. One has a house called the Old Movie House. It is well worth the ride and very interesting. The house is unlocked and you can tour it. It is furnished circa 1900's and a movie was filmed there hence the name. We also enjoyed trails in the area like Mill Creek and Huckleberry. Both of these trails were very scenic with lots of pretty forests and water. The Oark Cafe and Store is three miles away and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The staff is very friendly and the food very tasty. We ate many meals there. The Catalpa Cafe that is located behind the cabin was closed for renovations while we were there but were told by many locals that the food was quite good there as well. If you are into canoes or kayaks, Byrd's Adventure Center is not far and has canoe/kayak rentals and shuttle service. The cabin also has a canoe for you to use. Foothills Arena is at the bottom of the mountain and usually has some type of rodeo event on the weekends. Our friend that was on the trip is a barrel racer and has ran barrels there many times. There is something for everyone to enjoy all located in this area. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the cabin very much. The owners, the Hamptons, are very accommodating and friendly and have made sure that the cabin lacks nothing that you may need. We will be back!!!!

We had a great time at the cabin. Very relaxing and peaceful getaway. Great décor and very comfortable beds. The restaurant next door has great food and friendly service. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in this cabin Feb.22-24 and we LOVED IT!! It was so nicely furnished with custom made furniture and an "old" stove and refrigerator that really works! The weather was cold and the woodburning stove was nice and toasty while we played dominoes and drank hot chocolate. We went trail ridding on Sat. and saw old homes, snow on the mountain and beautiful waterfalls. This was an awesome weekend. Its a MUST place to stay for anyone that loves outdoors. We will stay again hope- fully soon!!!
